Prashar Lake is located 65 km north of Mandi and features a three-storied pagoda-like temple dedicated to the sage Prashar. The lake’s deep blue waters are considered sacred to Sage Prashar, who is believed to have meditated there. The lake also boasts a floating island, and its depth remains unclear. During the trek, you’ll enjoy a stunning 180-degree view of the Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal, and Kinnaur mountain ranges.

DAY 01: Volvo Bus – Delhi to Panarsa

Time : 7:30 pm : On the first day, you’ll embark on a comfortable luxury Volvo AC bus journey from Delhi in the evening. The bus will take you to Panarsa in the Mandi district, serving as the base for the hike the next morning. Enjoy the relaxing journey as you prepare for the adventure-filled day ahead. Mandi is a small and scenic town located in the heart of Himachal Pradesh. It’s known for its mythological and historical significance, featuring unique temple architecture. Often referred to as Chhota Kashi, Mandi boasts numerous ancient temples, making it a significant cultural hub in the region.

DAY 02: Trek from Panarsa to Prashar Lake (8 km)

Upon arriving at Panarsa early in the morning, you’ll meet your friendly trek guide and fellow travelers who will accompany you for the next two days. After an hour’s rest, freshen up and enjoy a satisfying breakfast. Then, we’ll drive towards Jwalapur, which is a 25 km drive, and begin our short hike towards Prashar Lake. This 8-kilometer journey shouldn’t take more than 3-4 hours, even for beginner trekkers. Upon reaching Prashar Lake, there will be a briefing about the place and the ranges visible from there. Later, we’ll gather around a bonfire for dinner and spend the night near Prashar Lake in tents.

Prashar Lake is situated 65 km north of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India, and is home to a three-storied pagoda-like temple dedicated to the sage Prashar. The lake sits at an elevation of 2730 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of the easternmost Pir Panjal ranges, as well as Mt. Deo Tibba (6,001 m) and Mt. Indrasan (6,221 m) on a sunny and clear day.

DAY 03: Trek down to Base; Volvo Bus Back to Delhi

Wake up to the serene sound of silence and after breakfast, visit the beautiful Prashar temple, a masterpiece of folk art. Then, trek down to Panarsa village, which takes about 3 hours. Catch your evening Volvo bus back to Delhi and enjoy a comfortable journey back home as you reflect on the blissful three days spent amidst the lap of Mother Nature.
*You’ll arrive back in Delhi the next morning around 6-8 am.

Remember, climbers can only bring up to 15 kg of personal luggage for all climbs.
Make sure to keep your cameras, whether they’re for video or film, safe from the cold by storing them in a warm pouch or the inside pockets of your clothing. Avoid keeping your camera in your backpack at higher elevations.
We don’t offer donkeys or porters to carry luggage.
We don’t provide insurance during the trek.
Please carry your daily personal rubbish with you to the next camp while moving between camps.

Aspirins and Paracetamols are good options for headaches as they also help thin the blood, improving circulation and oxygen delivery to the body. However, strong painkillers are not recommended as they can suppress breathing.

  • Entertainment options like reading materials, games, or cards (Optional).
  • Lightweight and quick-dry towel.
  • Track pants with multiple pockets (carry at least 2 pairs, avoid jeans).
  • Waterproof jackets and gloves for unpredictable weather conditions.
  • Raincoat (Optional) for additional protection against rain.
  • Identification proof such as Passport, Driving license, Aadhar card, etc.
  • 1 Passport size photograph.

Cancellation of tour booking 31 days or more before the Departure date will incur a 20% deduction in the tour cost.
Cancellation of tour booking 21-30 days before the Departure date will incur a 40% deduction of the tour cost.
Cancellation of tour booking 11-20 days before the Departure date will incur a 60% deduction of the tour cost.
Cancellation of tour booking 6-10 days before the Departure date will incur a 80% deduction of the tour cost.
Cancellation of tour booking 1-5 days before the Departure date will incur a 100% deduction of the tour cost.
