DAY 01: Chandigarh – Shimla

Arrive Chandigarh, pickup by our company representative and move to Shimla, on the way stop a while at Timber trail, arrive Shimla and check in hotel and after some rest, take a walk (vehicle entry is prohibited) on famous Mall road, Ridge, Christ church, lakkar Bazar, Lower Bazar, Ram Bazar, Scandal point, kali badi templeetc. o/n stay in Shimla hotel.

DAY 02: Shimla – Sarahan

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and move towards Sarahan, on the way sightseeing of Kufri, Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, Yak Ride and one can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri, visit to Fagu Valley, Naldehra (famous for jungle walk), Hatu Peak which is at 11000 ft., Rampur, Jhakri Project and in the evening arrive Sarahan, o/n in Sarahan hotel.

DAY 03: Sarahan – Sangla

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and move to Sangla, on the way sightseeing of places like Bhimakali Temple, Karcham, Sangla valley, Baspa valley river, hydroelectric project. Arrive magnificent Sangla valley in the evening; this is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Himalayas and is often compared to the famous valley of Kashmir. Known for its rich Kinnauri culture and apple orchards, this valley was opened for tourists only in 1993 for its close proximity to the Tibetan border. Enjoy the beauty of nature, Overnight stay and dinner at hotel.

DAY 04: Sangla – Chitkul – Transfer Kalpa

After breakfast, move to Chitkul. Go through a gradual climb along the Baspa River to reach High altitude pastures of Chitkul at 10,000 – 12000 ft. Surrounded by mountains, the site is a paradise to be in and its peace and tranquillity adds to its beauty, afternoon drive to Kalpa, enjoy the day in beautiful surroundings in the river valley of Baspa at a height of 9000ft. Kalpa is one of the biggest and beautiful village of Kinnaur districts; Kalpa is a town with a history of ancient temples. The Sutlej River below hurtles through deep gorges; the winding mountain road is bordered by chilgoza forests. Enjoy the one of the best view in the world, o/n stay and dinner in Kalpa hotel.

DAY 05: Kalpa local Sightseeing

After breakfast sightseeing tour of Roghi village, It is about 6-7 KMs from Kalpa and is known for its traditional lifestyle of Himachal surrounded by apple orchards, very nice place to have a short hike or walk across village from Kalpa. You will almost feel you are in time machine and somewhere in past, if you really spend some time here in this village. They villagers have a great knowledge of the place, its flora and fauna and you can get quite a decent knowledge in the village from them in case you are interested to know about Kinnaur Valley and this region. Afterwards visit Afternoon move to Tabo in Spiti valley. En-route, we shall visit Nako village, famous for its serene Nako Lake. Later, we shall reach Sumdo which is the last village in the Kinnaur District and the entry point to the Spiti Valley. The last point of the Hindustan-Tibet road, Kaurik, is only 19 km from Sumdo. We shall take a detour here to Giu village famous for its naturally preserved mummy that is almost 500 years old. The mummy is said to be of a Tibetan Buddhist Lama and is in a sitting posture etc. O/n stay at hotel in Kalpa.

DAY 06: Kalpa – Tabo

After breakfast check-out from Kalpa Hotel & drive to Tabo. En-route visit Nako Lake – Kinnaur’s most picturesque hamlets. Nako is slated to be declared a heritage village built around a small lake & has an important Buddhist Gompa& a small Temple. A footprint like impression on a rock is ascribed to the saint Guru Padmasambhava after drive toTabo(3050m) As entering in restricted area there for inner line permit and passport will be checked at check post at Jhangi .. Drive towardsSpiti via Khab where the Sutlej joins in to the Spiti River. After crossing check posts at Chango and Sumdo, driving through several villages and reach Tabo, Monastery has been founded in 996 A.D. often called the Ajanta of Himalayas. In Trans Himalayas Buddhism, Tabo sanctity is next only to Tibet’s Tholinggompa, O/n stay and dinner in Tabo Hotel.

DAY 07: Tabo–Kaza via Dhankar Monastery

After breakfast, we leave drive towards the village of Kaza, on the way we will visit, The Dhankar monastery, a near 1,000 year old symbol of Vajrayana Buddhist architecture, is one of the 100 most endangered monuments in the world (as recognized by the World Monuments Fund)! It is constructed on a 300 metre high ledge in a rocky mountain near the confluence of Pin and Spiti rivers. An architectural marvel of its time, today owing to its age and an earthquake that struck the region in 1975, it is in the imminent danger of collapsing. There is also a dilapidated fort (there are some wonderful murals inside its rooms), that once enveloped the entire complex, the remnants of which can be explored by hiking. As a matter of fact, it is this fort which lends the place its name. Dhankar literally means – fort on a cliff. Arrive Kaza and relax and go over the memories of the beauty experienced till now. Overnight stay in Kaza hotel.

DAY 08: Kaza Sightseeing

After breakfast, Full day sightseeing excursion wherein we will visit Kibber village and the magnificent Ki monastery, the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley that offers spectacular views of the valley. Later, we shall drive to Langza village via one of the world’s highest motor able roads. The village is located at an altitude of 14435 ft with a towering Buddha statue on the mountain top in the background. We shall drive to Komic village, said to be Asia’s highest village, with an altitude of almost 14,800 ft. On the way, visitHikim world highest post office, Langza’s Natural Fossil Centre to spot the preserved fossils of the ancient Tethys Sea. Overnight stay and dinner in Kaza hotel.

DAY 09: Kaza– Losar/Chanderatal

In this morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive towards Chanderatal. On the way Kunzum Pass, Batal, Sightseeing of Chandratal Lake enjoy the best view of the Lake and Valley view. Overnight stay & Dinner at Losar/Chanderatal.

DAY 10: Losar/Chanderatal – Manali

Early morning after breakfast check out Camps and move towards Manali on the way visitChatru,Rohtang pass, Marhi, Rahala water fall, Rani Nala, Gulaba, Kothi. Solang Valley Nehrukund, Him Valley, Evening reach manali visit mall road o/n stay and dinner at hotel.

DAY 11: Manali Local Sightseeing – Chandigarh

After breakfast check out from the hotel& visit 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving. You also visit the Tibetan Monastery, Club House River side Point, Van Vihar, walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht. Known for its hot sulfur springs and proceed towards Chandigarh evening reach Chandigarh check in Hotel overnight stay and dinner at hotel.

DAY 12: Chandigarh – Airport Drop

After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drop at Airport to catch flight for onward journey.
